The New 52 was a line-wide relaunch of every DC Comic in 2011. This relaunch was specifically designed to provide new readers with a place to start reading. Though it was controversial because a lot of comic reader didn't liked it but it was successful event. Those who wanna read DC comics for them it is an ideal point to start with NEW 52.
